Mission of Love Orphanage is a Non-Profit Organization founded in 2019 by young adults in Norway who are striding assiduously to achieve a better future for the children of Uganda who are in a vulnerable situation. The Organization was founded by Pastor Eunice from Norway and she has a team that works with her, both in Norway and Africa. The organization seeks to promote, advocate and protect the rights of orphans in Uganda, and also to take care of, and provide their basic needs.
The children we help are separated from their parents for various reasons, some because of poverty, abuse and neglect or negligent treatment. We’ve rented a house for them, but we aim to build our own in the near future. • Our job is to raise awareness in the society concerning issues that plagued these children.
Our first step is to identify the child and their needs, then we try to find their roots and get to know them and their problems. We develop wings that counter problems like a lack of access to education, poverty, abandonment and most recently child abuse and trauma.
Mission of love orphanage is still growing and has a team that’s deeply dedicated to the mission of touching the lives of abused, neglected and disadvantaged children.
We reach out to children through a family-centered approach to minimize friction, stigma and disharmony, while at the same time maintaining a focus on children who are most in need of safety, permanency and well-being.
Building partnerships help us in identifying solutions and building plans for our children’s future. We work in collaboration with local government authorities, traditional structures, community-based organizations (CBOs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and youth groups to bring about this change
We aim to care, support and protect vulnerable children by focusing on their immediate survival needs such as food, water, shelter and clothing, as well as placing an emphasis on their long-term developmental needs that would reduce their vulnerability (through education, life skills training, mentoring, camps and more).
